.@SarahAMatthews1 reacts to JD Vance being proud of stopping funding to Ukraine: "This statement just highlights how morally bankrupt JD Vance is, and history will not judge him and all the other pro-Putin cronies in this administration kindly."
A lot of these ICE "officers" are NEWLY HIRED with very little TRAINING.
3 key questions:
1. Name, full law enforcement qualifications of this officer, training, etc...
2. Any prior discipline or shooting history?
3. Who ELSE besides DHS is going to investigate this shooting?
Rep. Thompson's dismantling of this guy, asking where Antifa is located, is the BEST video you'll see today:
"You wouldn't come to this committee and say something you can't prove without knowing? I know you wouldn't do that. But you did."
Masterclass.
I didn't understand anything🤔 of course my English isn't great, but for some reason it seems to me that those who know English also didn't understand anything🥴
The opinions of Judge Young (a Reagan appointee) and Judge Immergut (a Bush 43 U.S. attorney) are a reminder of a Republican Party that believed in the rule of law.
That so far as I know no current elected Republican has praised those opinions suggests that old GOP is long gone.
Boston Mayor Michelle Wu (@MayorWu) just obliterated Donald Trump!
"Stop attacking our cities to hide your administration’s failures. Unlike the Trump administration, Boston follows the law. Boston will not back down from who we are and what we stand for.”
"To all of the federal officials attacking communities that embody diversity, creativity and moral clarity, we mayors said this in DC 6-month ago, and I’ll say it again here today: ‘You are wrong on the law and you are wrong on safety. Most of all, you are wrong on cities.'"
"The cities that live in your mind are totally foreign to the citizens who live in our cities. And we are picking up the pieces of your failure to deliver on your promises.”
In an interesting critique of “merit,” Jay Nordlinger observes:
“People call for ‘merit’ in the immigration process…
Those immigrants wanted a better life for themselves and their family, and they sacrificed to get it.
That was their ‘merit.’”

Let’s remember that Trump’s campaign manager literally gave campaign polling data to the Russians and then Russia literally created social media ads to try and help Trump win the election. Then Don Jr. met with the Russians who were offering dirt on Hillary Clinton and Trump asked the Russians to find Hillary Clinton’s emails before Roger Stone communicated with Wikileaks about the release of them.
But it was all manufactured by Obama, right?
There is something broken about any grown man who realizes the best job he can get is putting on a mask and chasing brown people for a living.
It’s always this way with the shock troops of authoritarianism. These are the guys who couldn’t make it in a trade where you can make six figures and live at home, or get good jobs as police officers, or get hired as teachers or coaches, or own a small business.
They are dangerous because they will do anything to keep the only job they could get. This is the last stop for the guys who just couldn’t make it.
WOW!
Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum responded to Trump’s threats with a backhand…
“So, you voted to build a wall.
Well, dear Americans, even if geography isn’t your strong suit, since you consider America a country rather than a continent you should know that beyond that wall, there are 7 billion people.
The word people might not resonate with you, let’s call them consumers.
These 7 billion consumers can switch from iPhones to Samsung or Huawei in less than two days.
They can swap Levi’s for Zara or Massimo Dutti and, within six months, replace Ford and Chevrolet with Toyota, KIA, Mazda, Honda, Hyundai, Volvo, Subaru, Renault, or BMW..Brands that often outperform in quality.
They can cancel Direct TV, and though they might not want to, they can stop watching Hollywood films in favour of higher-quality productions from Latin America or Europe, which offer richer narratives and better cinematography.
Believe it or not, people can skip Disney and instead visit the Xcaret resort in Cancun, or explore destinations in Mexico, Canada, South America, and Europe. In Mexico, you’ll find better hamburgers than McDonald's, with superior nutritional value.
Have you ever seen pyramids in the U.S.?
Egypt, Mexico, Peru, Guatemala, and Sudan all have ancient wonders, none of them in the U.S.
If they did, Trump would probably have bought and sold them by now.
We know that Nike isn’t the only sneaker brand..There’s Adidas, and even Mexican brands like Panam.
We understand the economy more than you think.
And we also know that if these 7 billion consumers stop buying American products, unemployment will rise, and your economy trapped within its self-imposed wall will crumble to the point where you'll beg us to tear it down.We didn’t want to do this, but...you wanted a wall?
Well, you got one.”
Her approval ratings to historical levels, with one recent poll putting her support at 85 percent!
Newsflash: Lecturing people about why they're voting against their own self interest isn’t going to win Democrats any votes.
What will? Showing up everywhere to meet people where they are – from podcasts to dive bars to dirt track races – and actually listening.
Morning in Ukraine.
I’m alive.
But tonight felt like dying.
352 Shaheds.
16 missiles.
Most aimed at Kyiv.
Explosions all night.
Direct hits.
Debris falling everywhere.
6 killed in Kyiv.
19 wounded.
Homes destroyed. Cars burning.
I was lying in the corridor,
Counting seconds,
Thinking - maybe this is it.
Every night feels like dying.
And every morning,
I wake up to survive it again.
Your father-in-law is an immigrant who migrated to America and was convicted of a felony.
He's an exception. FBI statistics show that immigrants are less likely to commit crimes than U.S.-born.
It's a hard night.
I feel pаіn and аngеr.
I cry from the injustice of this world.
And no matter what I write here, it won't change anything.
The world reacts with words. Some are silent. Some throw in another diplomatic phrase.
So what?
It's not statements that change the course of events, but decisive actions. And that's exactly what we lack so much from those who have the power to act.
