said Argentinian Foreign Minister Diana Mondino, referencing London’s recent decision to transfer the Chagos Archipelago to Mauritius.

Britain and Argentina fought over the Falklands in 1982, with London emerging victorious. In a 2013 referendum, island residents voted to remain a British overseas territory.

The topic resurfaced after Argentine President Javier Milei suggested exploring diplomatic efforts to reclaim the islands.
