@LiamOConnor1989@TheFantasyPT Only if winning your division is not a priority. If that’s the case, ditch the divisions. The regular season is less meaningful if you spend 17 games beating your division rivals, only to have to beat them again.
@LiamOConnor1989@TheFantasyPT Why? Just dump divisions then. There’s already a good chance that the top seed in the NFC will have to face a team it beat for the division. Giving the 2nd and 3rd place teams home games makes that more likely, and makes the regular season less meaningful.
@newbiedm @BlackDragonCan Yeah, what I meant is that it’s still 1e Vancian. 2e apparently introduced some non-Vancian ideas, but I think in splat books. The closest you get to “innate” magic around this time is probably Ed Greenwood’s Spellfire novel.
@Pat_Thorman@jmthrivept@_sorci_ The point is he missed a block, which is bad. No need to hypothesize some sort of butterfly-effect connection to the injury. If Gibson doesn’t get injured, Hendo still missed the block, and he didn’t miss it better because of no injury.
@d20play What about making it a legendary action? The creature has to wait until the end of a turn, and it at least can’t use its LA for something else. Maybe make it like Indomitable, i.e., re-roll with a bonus. This allows for some effect without a full round of the party walloping it.
@HaydenWinks The Jared Goff play illustrates why it should be called more (and it should have been called on Goff’s pick 6). Any contact to a player’s head is more likely to remove him from a game for at least a play. It should not be so easy to get the opposing QB off the field.
@DavisMattek So sorry to hear this. It’s hard enough when you can anticipate the end and plan for it; having this moment suddenly thrust upon you has to be extra difficult. May the many memories of your pet be a comfort.
@fectin@JonathanMTweet I think the distinction can be made this way: If you played the defenders instead of the beseigers, you would not feel a need to change alignment, whereas it would probably affect your alignment if you played on the side of the giants or Eclavdra or the slavers.
@4for4_John What bugs me more is that (at least in NJ) left turns always yield to others, regardless of who was first, but I suspect most think it just goes in order of arrival. Thus, when I see a left turner across the way, I creep up hoping they just go before I reach the stop.
@hexcrawl The 1E bard was such an outlier that it’s hard to consider it a major change in 2E. 2E was the first time we had to consider what a new “E” meant, and if you just thought it was a cleanup of 1E, you could play a long time before encountering something that suggested otherwise.
