@BrandonGowton McKee may be QB2 again without having to touch the rock. Trotter seems like he's been having a heck of a camp. We need to see a big year from him. Could play like Nakobe Dean.
The times while he was here will always be memorable. No matter what you put it, he brought us to two bowls in both 2022 and 2024 and had a career year in 2023. That being said, quitting on the team while being 4-0, off a super bowl victory, and dropping balls that he's never dropped in his career in the WC vs SF will have MANY Eagles fans remember him like TO.
It was good while it lasted, but when things got bad, they got real bad and he honestly didn't deserve philly.
This is insane stuff from AJ Brown:
1. Win a Super Bowl in 2024.
2. Start the year 4-0 in 2025.
3. Request a trade from Philly.
4. Pout and post cryptic messages on Social Media.
5. Drops 3 balls in the WC game vs the #49ers, 2 being huge plays that could've notched another score.
6. Gets traded to New England.
7. Say you've had the carpet of the Pats while in the league.
8. Write on the wall in Philly "The best to ever play here. Always open."
(Disclaimer; Theres A LOT more.)
The 1st Superbowl, his defense gave up 38 points to start. If his defense had gotten a single stop in the 2nd half, he'd be a champion, and you'd be forced to respect him.
Those "pushes" also meant that he drove down the field.
I get that most QBs don't get much help, and that Hurts' rosters have been above par, but you continue to blame him because his GM signs players, trades for them, and drafts well, while others don't?
Then, when he plays the best he's ever played, on the biggest stage, he gets 0 credit.
Are we going to talk about how bad the officiating was in Game 3 of the #NBAFinals last night?
Or how Wemby threw Brunson to the ground in front of a ref, and nothing happened?
It's clear the Spurs have played dirty so far; it's even clearer that the NBA made a call to keep the series going.
I agree. I honestly don't know how so many people like Wemby and the Spurs. They've played dirty all series so far, and the fact that wasn't a flagrant 1 was unreal. The ref bias, and how many challenges were overturned from a NYK challenge last night was sickening. It's clear as day that the NBA is pushing Wemby as the face of their league, and real hoop fans should hate it.
Im just glad this mess of a league is over in a week. We need the big dog back.
@ThePhillyPod This get's caught and it's the football game...
AND if Bradberry's jersey tug was PI, so wasn't this.
Seumalo's false start kills me from this game too.
100%. But I dont think Howie will for a couple of reasons.
1: We would have to extend him, and it would't assure long term help like a 3rd/4th.
2: I think Cleveland is in a unique spot with their roster and could string together a nice season, why trade away a piece like that in the secondary and leave Denzel Ward out to dry.
3: Im not even all that sure that he's only worth a 3rd/4th and a pick swap. I think hes more valuable.
I think McDuffie is good, but I think he's undersized and excels in certain systems. I think Watson is Ok and decent-sized to help that, though. However, I don't like your safeties at all. A team that has a great tackle that can stop Garrett with a double team can attack your secondary. I think Curl and Lake are ok at best.
Prove it years for #NFL QBS:
1. Joe Burrow; The Bengals seem to believe this roster is better than the one they went to a Super Bowl with. A healthy Burrow, with a healthy Brown, Chase, and Higgins, should make noise. 2021 is a long time ago, and he has not had much to show since. #WhoDey
2. Justin Herbert; Harbaugh put together a nice D, and added McDaniel. Hampton, Gadsen, and McConkey are all back. Time to win a playoff game. #Boltup
3. Dak Prescott; Time is running out. Their defense is healthy, and Christian Parker is a great addition as the DC. Their offense is entering year 2 with Schotty. It's now or never, especially with the Pickens drama. #HowboutthemCowboys
4. CJ Stroud; He has the best defense in the league. The offensive line was bolstered this offseason, and entering year 4, he needs to make something happen before contracts start getting handed out. CJ can play himself into or out of a contract. #Texans
5. Jared Goff; 9-8 last year, elite talent on the team, this is another team that may be running out of time (Gibbs and Jamo need a payday). If Goff has a 2024 year, expect Detroit to make noise. If not, expect another tough, hard-fought 9-8 team because of how tough the North is. #OnePride
6. Jalen Hurts; New system, no AJ, Saquon off a down year, Smitty new WR1, Can he play to his ceiling anymore? Does Philly move on to something younger with a loaded 2027 QB class if he can't? #FlyEaglesFly
7. Jayden Daniels; Dealt with injuries all of 2025, but there's no doubt about the type of player he is when he's healthy. Can he elevate the Commanders' offense again? If he can, expect Cardiac Commies to be back. #RaiseHail
8. Drake Maye; Vrabel in year 2, addition of Doubs and Brown. Henderson and Stevenson see the system again. It's all on him. Can he play how he did against poor competition against a harder schedule? #GoPats
@Bobjone77105131@NFLFrascella Not putting down your roster, because IF you can stay healthy, sure, you're the favorite. But it's an 18-week season where anything can happen, and given their injury history, we shouldn't be crowing anyone as unbeatable, especially in June haha.
It makes you wonder how the draft played out, if they should've taken Tyson earlier, and went LB or Mauigoa with pick 10. Draft Tyson at 5. Delane goes 6. Reese goes 7. Lemon goes 8. Fano goes 9, and you're left with Styles or Mauigoa still at 10. That's only because Nabers' knee is worse than we thought.
