A 15-acre drip irrigation system for a cocoa plantation is now fully operational, powered by an 11KW solar system delivering at least 20 m³/hr at 60m head. The system ensures precise irrigation with adjustable emitters supplying up to 8 l/h per crop, plus a 500-liter fertigation unit for efficient nutrient application.

We are pumping the water directly from the dam, the dam has natural flowing water, the best for cows. The pump is suspended in water by a floater held in position.
For this particular farm and its water needs, 4 monocrystaline solar panels are powering the system.
Water running through pipes to a 10,000L tank 700m away, raised a few meters off ground. It will hold enough water for 100 plus cows and home use.
Finally water running from the tank to the a 2000L water trough(for cows) 200m away from the tank and near the kraal.
We also pushed water to his compound for home use, very important!
We now have a happy farmer in Kazo who will not worry about water again.
The project was funded on a 60% subsidy by world bank.
