Boom! Just scanned through "Trump v. Barbara" and the 198-page gobbledegook syllabus regarding the Constitution guaranteeing citizenship to children born in the U.S., specifically those of parents who are here "unlawfully." Bonta's first argument on the 14th Amendment, specifically "all persons born or naturalized in the United States and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and (not or) of the State wherein they... RESIDE."
While the Average Joe takes "reside" as "dwelling," the law is emphatically clear. The legal definition is "domicile: your true, fixed, permanent, and LEGAL residence that determines tax obligations, voting rights, and (not or) court jurisdiction." The 14th Amendment is clear; there is no wiggle room, and Bonta's remaining 197 pages of mind-bending rationale are irrelevant. However, those in favor of birthright citizenship only need to pass one of these hurdles to ensure every child born of an illegal alien is granted citizenship. Hold the line.
