Pikmin Native is a port of Pikmin 1 to Windows and Linux. We also plan to target macOS and Android after release, and iOS/iPadOS in the late future. We offer Widescreen, Unlocked Framerate, many Gameplay Enhancements and Cheats built in, and so much more! (W.I.P Screenshot)
Perma-Death mode! If Olimar dies, gets a bad ending, or has a Pikmin Extinction, your save file is deleted. This menu will also house future game modes (ironmin mode, randomiser, etc.)
A built-in save editor! I'm pretty certain this is the first Pikmin 1 save editor too! And since Pikmin Native memory cards are compatible with Dolphin Emulator, your edits can transfer over to the original GameCube game!
Achievements! All 3 sets are optional (with the default one enabled by default), and unlocks are blocked when any cheats are active. The 3 sets are entirely based off the RetroAchievements sets, so we give credit at the bottom of each sets page, as well as on our general screen.
The game also runs on Windows 10! The low FPS is due to testing in a Virtual Machine, where all rendering is done on the CPU. On real Windows hardware, the game reaches normal FPS Limits (as well as our unlocked limits of course)
By the start of next week I *should* be sending some Alpha builds out to a couple of people. If everything goes okay, I'll be releasing the Beta to my Discord server (Link in bio!) and if that goes okay too, I'll be doing a full 1.0 release on GitHub. Be on the lookout!
Today I finish moving into my University accommodation to study even more Computer Science! It also means I can get back to work on Pikmin Native as I'll be able to get back on my PC! Can't wait!
