Even worse is to push speculation in the international markets against Ghana’s gold and slow further investment into the sector through the Goldbod and then weaken the cedi for political purposes.

I was at the Opportunities Industrialization Centres Ghana (OIC), East Legon, for the funeral rites of the late George Geel Kutortse, Founder and Chairman of Construction Ambassadors Limited and brother of Mr. Eric Kutortse, Executive Chairman of First Sky Group.

The solemn ceremony brought together the President of the Republic, H.E. John Dramani Mahama; Chairman of the Council of State and former Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon. Edward Korbly Doe Adjaho; Members of Parliament, MMDCEs, government officials, business leaders, family, friends and well-wishers.

I extend my deepest condolences to the Kutortse family, particularly Mr. Eric Kutortse, on this painful loss. May the soul of the late George Geel Kutortse rest in perfect peace, and may God grant the bereaved family strength and comfort in this difficult time.
