@DreamHackAU cosplay comp day was hectic and I was way too stresso to take any photos, so thank you to @mei_at_play (ig) and the main stage jumbotron for capturing my sweet style.
Today was my first day wearing Ketheric Thorm so I'm relieved it all came together @larianstudios
I took redundancy last week. It was a scary decision, but it was the right one - however, it does mean that I have no idea what comes next. If you hear of any opportunities in the media/games/social space, I’d really appreciate it if you let me know - my DMs and emails are open!
@TronGumby Every time I think I'm spinning my wheels and am ready to put it down, I'll make something click that requires another several runs to investigate.
@TronGumby Renaissance periodisation has some great videos for strength building and growth. Not sure if there's a set list, but he's very knowledgeable when it comes to getting the most out of movement for hypertrophy
I’ve never been quiet about the fact I’m immensely privileged, the fact that I’m a white male living in an immensely racist and sexist colonial project, that I’m university educated and went to a private school when I was a child.
I think people like me with that privilege have an even greater obligation to help those who are suffering.
“From each according to their ability, to each according to their need” is not just a cool little slogan to me.
I don’t think that these systemic and institutional structures I’ve benefitted from should exist, and I want to abolish them because they give people like me an unearned and undeserved foot up - and they’re the same people who will endlessly cry that “you should just pull yourselves up by your bootstraps”.
Our society should not work like this, everyone should have a fair chance - your life outcomes should not be determined by the colour of your skin or the post code in which you were born.
More people like me should be speaking up about this, not less.
Build up your community kids. It makes life so much more enjoyable. It's already tough enough without having no one around to lean on. It's an absolute pleasure to be there for my friends.
