Our panelist Clara Rose who partners with organizations like @nilegirlsforum and @actionaiduganda says that We Lead taught her to give time to really listen.
“Sometimes we believe our struggles are the greatest, until we pause and truly hear another girl’s story.”

On this Day of the African Child themed "Planning & Budgeting for Children's Rights: Progress since 2010." We reflect on African governments’ commitments to prioritize children’s rights in national planning. Join us in commemorating this important day on June 16! #DAC2025
Our day 1 of the mentorship program for Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) working in adolescent health has been filled with learning and reflection on strategies of advancing SRHR by the founders, executive directors of over 25 civil society and community based organizations. We hope to see the fruits of the mentorship and training being passed on to grass roots for the realization of young people's reproductive and health rights.

Limited parental involvement in providing adolescents age appropriate sexual reproductive health information contributes to cases of teenage pregnancy & early marriages hence causing school dropout. Together we can build a healthy world where all girls can attend school fully.
“Sexual violence conversations are not easy conversations to have .
Growing up ,I had a narrow understanding of sexual violence and assault . I always thought that it had to be forceful but I have learnt that even being pressurized in way by people you trust is assault , Having our boundaries ignored or broken is another form of assault as well. I am glad we are here having these conversations and changing the narratives. Let’s be real and open and make space for the truth.” @RonnieShe our Programs & Capacity Development Coordinator

Today, we had a fruitful meeting with Owek @NicholasMugume1 from the Ministry of Youth Affairs @ObukamaBwaTooro to align on the upcoming National Youth Conference, set to take place on June 28th, 2025 in Kabarole District under the patronage of His Majesty the King of Tooro.
As part of the #RightHereRightNow (RHRN) project, this conference is a key platform to advance youth-led advocacy on Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights and Gender Justice at a national level.
The event will bring together diverse youth voices to reflect, engage, and co-create solutions for a more inclusive future.
As we continue to raise awareness about sexual assault, it's important to understand what consent truly means. Consent is saying YES because you genuinely want to NOT because you are pressured, forced, or unsure.
