It’s been so long since I’ve been on here that I don’t even know how it works anymore! But I’m puttering around the kitchen today and had the urge to chat about food on here. Is that a thing anymore? Anyone cooking anything fun today?
@MangoTomato Up until today I was off ALL social media for about the last 5 months. So nice. Im reluctant to go back, but I know it’s kind of a necessary evil if I start blogging again
@MangoTomato I haven’t done anything with tofu in a long time but I just recently got an air fryer again so was thinking about making some crispy tofu in it.
@NerdMom That’s awesome! Now that you have a starter going you’ll have to try my sourdough pie crust for the holidays! I actually just made a chicken pot pie with sourdough crust the other day and it was sooooo good.
@NerdMom Woohoo! I need to do the same soon. I’ve been making a lot of crackers with sourdough discard lately and enjoy them but definitely missing the bread.
Every summer, adorable pikas gather mouthfuls of wildflowers and grasses, and build giant haystacks to stock up for winter. They’ll lay them on rocks in the sun to dry them out and then store them in their dens. 💐

@Jimmytbe Things are good! My daughter just started 2nd grade and I can almost see myself being able to jump back into blogging this year, which I’ve decided I would like to do. I’ve been off social media completely for 5 months and not ready to jump back in, but today I missed Twitter. 😊
@Gelfo I’ve only got savory stuff going in the kitchen today, but yesterday I baked a butterscotch banana bread that was definitely dessert-like (and delicious).
@dkzody Egg burritos for lunch sounds great! I just finished a lunch-sized snack plate of hummus, carrot sticks, sourdough crackers, extra sharp cheddar, and roasted beets.

@geokaren I made a batch of sourdough crackers this morning and now I’ve got some chicken stock in the pressure cooker, boiling some red potatoes that will become either smashed potatoes or potato salad, and roasting some beets in the air fryer. It’s a clean out the fridge day
