It’s been a while! And a lot has happened, but now I have time to focus on creating again, so here begins the continuation of my first game “The little guide” #gamedev#indiegame
So it’s been a loooong while but here are some recent screenshots of “the little guide”
I’ve slowly been building the first level, about halfway done with the static assets, and then on to animations!

Managed to get item collection working as well as “doors” that will delete once you have enough items collected 🎉
Npc dialogue is up next

@hotbarrelstudio Thank you! That’s actually very reassuring to hear, I seem to struggle to code the simplest things. Glad to hear others also have the same struggles
Long time no see, I went through a little bit of a demotivation/artblock moment, but I’m back with player animations!
Mittens finally moves and whilst I know the animations aren’t perfect it’s amazing seeing him come to life💖

I think I’ve gotten to the point where I can read c# and understand what some existing scripts do (so long as it’s not expert stuff) but I still don’t know how to tell the code to do what I want it to do,
Here’s to hopefully understanding more by next month 🤞
But now I’ve got a double jump and I can make the level layout a little harder,
Also managed to stop the player from sticking to the side of the platforms🎉
After spending all day trying to write a better movement script with a double jump on my own, I failed and in the end followed along with a tutorial, but I finally got a double jump implemented.
Little frustrated I couldn’t figure out the code myself though😢

Super small achievement this week, I finally managed to fix my players animation and stop it from wobbling when playing 🎉
I also passed the first quiz in my c# book!
holiday celebrations over so back to work, focusing on player movements and animations

Although technically it’s not the end of the year yet, Here begins the first year of game dev for “the little guide” and I can’t wait to see what’s in store #gamedev#indiegame
