A veteran digital pinballer that spends my playing time testing VPX tables for the excellent VPW mod team. I also develop & share gameplay and strategy videos.
Blood Machines by VPW is a table that I know really well and I have played it a lot throughout its development. In this tips and strategy guide, my first for a VPX table, I show and explain how I approach each mission, multiball and the wizard mode!

I have zero idea about this game the table is based on. The table looks great though, and play well. If it comes up in a tournament, I'll probably try and figure out how to score well on it, and how to start / finish the missions.

I've played The Addams Family many times over the years. I have other videos, but thought I'll share this game as the alt sound is great, and the ball movement also looks so much smoother in 10.8.1, even at 60 fps.

This table is fun, and VPW did a great job as always to bring it to life. Without knowing the table all that well, I have a sneaky suspicion that ripping that right flipper for 10,000 points a flip is going to be a big focus during competition ;-)

I tried to remember why I'd never played this before, especially since I enjoyed GoldenEye and Starship Troopers. However, now that I’ve gotten into it, it’s quite playable and a lot of fun! It doesn’t play easy though, which I definitely appreciate.

I usually play The Matrix to finish the modes and get to the wizard mode, which is tough, but this time around I thought to go for a big score as I'm playing it in a competition. It was a pretty decent game, and a few things I tried really paid off.

A great release by RobbyKingPin. Hurricane knows how to keep you busy! You must work for every point, and need to pay attention to quite a bit happening. I love it though, as it makes the table engaging, and putting up a great score is rewarding.

I thought I'll make a quick video to show some ways that improve performance if The Matrix struggles on your system, and then I also took the opportunity to show some skills that are worth practicing if you want to master this tough-playing table.

The Matrix (the original, to be precise) is in my top five movies. Well, the creators of this table, the Pincredibles, along with VPW who helped make it play as realistically as possible, are blessing the VPX community with one of the best VPX tables ever.

The table is a lot of fun, but it’s a tough play for me.
Either way, after quite a few tries, I finally made it through to the first mini-wizard mode — Kobayashi Maru — by completing all six modes on level 1. It’s a really fun and engaging table

This was a quick test to see if the satellite magnet works during multiball. Multiple people have reported there are issues. I had no issues. It might be because I'm running with a recent beta of VPinMame that incorporates a fix of the bug reported.

Buck Rodgers is nice and tough and I'm just beginning to put decent games together. In a competition setting, I'm sure I'm going to have many games where I think "this is the one!", just for it to fall apart again. Uncle Paulie did a great job as always!

Wow... I did not expect this to be such a great table! I thought most of the solid state tables have been recreated really well in VPX. Well... I didn't know about this, and it is such a blast! Well done Mecha Enron for creating this one!

No Good Gophers has quite a bit going for it, including interesting mode progression and challenging but fun multiballs. The Super Jackpot is certainly one of the most rewarding Super Jackpots that you can get on any table. https://t.co/OZBBcnPh8E
I know very little about The Shining, other than it is based on a Stephen King novel, was directed by Stanley Kubrick, and the famous Here's Johnny scene. I lost quite a few balls watching the PUP craziness... can I ever unsee the kissing corpse scene!

I put a lot of time and effort into Die Hard Trilogy by VPW to test it properly, but then also to try and beat it. In this tips and strategy guide, I show and explain how I approach the table, the order of the missions and multiballs, and the wizard mode!

This version of Space Station is next level, and it looks so gorgeous. The gameplay is an unique challenge, and you need to interpret the ball bounce else you can forget about getting anywhere. Well done VPW! You spoil us with this Christmas release.

The table came up in the Virtual Pinball Chat weekly competition, so I gave it another shot to get to the final wizard mode. It was a bit touch and go, but I collected the 12th album and made it to the Prince of Darkness Wizard Mode.

Ozzy Osborn and Black Sabbath... I can't really say that I'm a huge fun, but I do enjoy their music. My 6-year old son's favourite song is though Iron Man! This game is great fun... well done to the team!

I'm a huge fan of Stranger Things, but never got into the table, mostly because it didn't have great physics. On LoadedWeapon's release, after a few fixes, I could finally kill the Demogorgon!

Elvira and the Pary Monsters is new to me, but sounded and felt familiar as is an Elvira, and because I recognised some sounds, the vibe of the music, and the monsters that reminded me of Dr Dude and The Party Zone. It is fun, but not too complicated.
