When a tech company announces a new product or feature in healthcare, it's really challenging to identify whether it's truly a big step forward and to see through the marketing materials.

I still think that this NVIDIA announcement is important because Evo 2 is the largest publicly available AI model trained on nearly 9 trillion nucleotides.

This way, researchers could better predict protein structures, assess gene mutations, and identify novel molecules for therapeutic applications.

Hopefully, this leads to accelerating the understanding of complex diseases and the development of targeted treatments. ​
