@PierrePoilievre What is your point? Tariffs are a tax and need to be applied judiciously, especially retaliatory ones. Could you tell us what you would do instead?
On second thought, why don’t you be silent and contemplate why you lost your seat?
@PierrePoilievre Your map doesn’t show the First Nations territories that would be affected. What are your plans for obtaining full, fair, and informed consent from the people who live in the Ring of Fire?
@MikeBarrettON@PierrePoilievre Yes, he made an error in his second language. However, if you listened to the debate, he was able to speak quite clearly on important issues affecting Canada. Can Polievre do that?
@PierrePaulHus@PierrePoilievre Qu'est-ce que tu veux dire? Il a fait une erreur, bien sûr. Mais si vous avez écouté le débat, vous aurez réalisé qu'il pense assez clairement aux questions internationales importantes.
Please take this as a completely serious warning.
If the Supreme Court of the United States gives Trump the immunity he is seeking,
America has ended.
Even when Trump loses in November, the executive office will be distorted beyond recognition.
De facto ,actually de jure, dictatorship.
Giving such power is much much easier than taking it back.

This fact has not changed during the year.
We don't need miracle techs to address climate. We need to deploy, deploy, deploy existing techs as fast as possible.

COP28 is now on the verge of complete failure. The world desperately needs to phase out fossil fuels as quickly as possible, but this obsequious draft reads as if OPEC dictated it word for word. It is even worse than many had feared. It is “Of the Petrostates, By the Petrostates and For the Petrostates.” It is deeply offensive to all who have taken this process seriously. There are 24 hours left to show whose side the world is on: the side that wants to protect humanity’s future by kickstarting the orderly phase out of fossil fuels or the side of the petrostates and the leaders of the oil and gas companies that are fueling the historic climate catastrophe. In order to prevent COP28 from being the most embarrassing and dismal failure in 28 years of international climate negotiations, the final text must include clear language on phasing out fossil fuels. Anything else is a massive step backwards from where the world needs to be to truly address the climate crisis and make sure the 1.5°C goal doesn’t die in Dubai.
Yes, this pledge by 118 countries to triple renewables and double efficiency is a great start & consistent with these plans to transition to 100% #WindWaterSolar for all energy, albeit we need an 80% transition by 2030 and 100% by 2035-2050

The Paris agreement was never designed to regulate fossil fuels production, it was about emissions targets. A @fossiltreaty will help us meet those goals and manage the phase out of fossil fuels. Great conversation with @Nick_Nuttall and @RRegenvanu today on @wedonthavetime
