As much as I want to have the fulfillment of belonging, i don't want my being to be held prisoner to the whims of other people's fleeting opinions of me.
Buy what you need, occasionally what you want. Enjoy your hobbies, and enjoy socialising until you don't.
Then, have your quiet reflective time.
Live your life for yourself and your loved ones.
