I really wish people would stop drastically using the scenarios of rape or incest as the sole premise for an abortion. A woman doesn’t have to be in a traumatic situation for it to be reason enough. In fact there is zero explanation that needs to be given.
@ScottMorrisonMP Who paid Christian Porters legal fees?
Why for the first time in 121 years of Australian Parliament did you overturn the Speakers decision?
Why are you too scare to investigate?
What are you hiding?

"I lost my job, a job I loved, because I was humiliated by our Prime Minister for committing no offence, then bullied by my chairman.”
"I have done no wrong.”

‘Uniquely unsuited’: Government accused of stacking climate body with fossil interests. Call me crazy but shouldn’t an actual climate scientist be chairman of the Climate Change Authority? #auspol https://t.co/prt0gz2iIy
It's odd that the PM says the public are the "boss" of politicians. If we're the boss, why has the public outcry to hold Andrew Laming to account seemingly gone unheard?

New from me: Liberal MP Andrew Laming has set up dozens of Facebook pages to attack his opponents, including a fake "institute" and phoney community news pages https://t.co/cQpuLYyVSM
@couriermail @kylie_lang This such a regular line from the Murdoch media stable. Apparently only they are allowed to criticise politicians. Please note: all Australians are entitled to criticise PMs and even (gasp) media proprietors. It’s called #FreeSpeech
THREAD: 1. The new narrative being pushed by Australian conservatives is that women are whingers with no solutions and the Govt is an innocent authority who just doesn't know what to do. This is patently false and I wonder if @vanOnselenP and co actually spoke to any activists.
So many men in the papers today telling us ladies we’re wrong, to calm down, that this will blow over or that we need solutions not hysteria. Hey guys, if you think women have not been offering solutions for decades - you’re not listening. Work harder
Instead of smearing the character of female journalists simply doing their job, how about we hold accountable men in power who sexually abuse women. The latter is about accountability and the former is about silencing women who dare demand it from men.
In these last weeks we have seen extraordinary work by many women journalists, keeping a focus on issues which have too long been unspoken.
Dismissing this as a “crusade” or “unapologetic activism” undermines their work and deliberately misses the point.
So apparently giving Brittany Higgins a platform, calling the powerful to account, exposing gov coverups & a vile rape/sexual assault culture in Parliament House, is not journalism.
According to the AFR, it’s angry activism.
Welcome to the new world order boys. #IStandWithSam
