3 OBS settings I check on EVERY stream that most creators don’t know about:

1. Turn off Instant Replay → frees up GPU/CPU resources when you don’t use it

2. IP Family: IPv4 Only → can help avoid connection issues with certain networks

3. Split your video encoders → OBS on NVENC H.264, TikTok Live Studio on x264 so you’re not making your GPU do all the work

In Davinci Resolve Version 21.1 you now have the ability to save transformation presets!

If you're a gaming short form video creator, this is clutch because now you can quickly and easily position your camera and gameplay in just a few clicks. All while keeping everything consistent!

All you have to do is click on your video clip, then in the inspector click on the abacus icon to create a preset. Now in the future all you have to do is load your preset from the same menu and you're good to go!

Last time, we discussed the Lighthouse rework, and now it's time to talk about its main inhabitant.

Many of you may have noticed that the Lightkeeper access task chain is currently inactive in Seasonal PvP mode - this is because it will be completely reworked with update 1.1.5.0.

We know that the previous requirements for starting it felt like a series of barely connected tasks, both gameplay and story-wise. And then, the chain itself required finding an excessive number of rare items to complete. The upcoming changes will address this, making accessing Lightkeeper a more straightforward and intuitive process.

After the update, the requirements for receiving the first task of the Lightkeeper access chain will look as follows:
● Unlock access to Lighthouse as part of the "Tour" storyline;
● Reach LL3 with all traders (except Fence and Ref);
● Ask Mechanic about working with Lightkeeper. This will become possible after unlocking access to Lighthouse.

The tasks required to gain Lightkeeper access will be completely reworked - they will now focus more on testing the player's skill rather than repetitive, similar objectives.

Furthermore, the Lightkeeper’s own tasks will also be adjusted, making their objectives better align with the new format of side tasks introduced in update 1.1.0.0.

Anime just lost a veteran behind Akira, Death Note, Naruto and today’s biggest isekai titles.

Director and animator Yūji Yanase has passed away at 59. His death was announced today by the production committees behind The Insipid Prince’s Furtive Grab for the Throne and The World’s Strongest Rearguard, two currently airing anime he directed. Their staffs expressed deep gratitude for his work and sorrow over his sudden passing.

Yanase spent decades working across nearly every level of anime production. His extensive credits included:

• Akira — In-Between Animation
• Death Note — Key Animation
• Hellsing — Animation Director
• Chobits — Animation Director
• Naruto: Shippuden — Episode Direction
• Pokémon XY — Episode Direction
• Macross 7 — Key Animation
• Aria the Animation — Animation Director
• Symphogear — Animation Director
• Saint Seiya Omega — Animation Director

He later became especially known as a series director, leading anime including In Another World With My Smartphone, If It’s for My Daughter, I’d Even Defeat a Demon Lord, By the Grace of the Gods, In the Land of Leadale, My Unique Skill Makes Me OP Even at Level 1, I’ll Become a Villainess Who Goes Down in History, and Apocalypse Bringer Mynoghra. His directing career began with Himegoto in 2014.

His final chapter is especially bittersweet, with two series under his direction still airing when news of his passing was announced.

Rest in peace, Yūji Yanase. From animator to director, his work quietly became part of decades of anime history. 🕊️
