Two toddlers, just 1 and 2 years old, were inside a Virginia home with their grandmother when a fire started downstairs.
Upstairs, 12-year-old Ramir Parker heard a strange crackling sound and smelled smoke. When he stepped into the hallway, he saw thick black smoke rising from the basement.
He immediately yelled for his grandmother, then ran toward the smoke and flames to get his little brothers.
Ramir grabbed both boys, got them outside, and then made sure his grandmother made it out too.
By the time firefighters arrived, the family was already safe.
Fire officials later said Ramir’s quick actions likely saved their lives, and the city of Petersburg honored him as a hero.
He was 12 years old.
These are the kids the internet should be talking about.
A mother and her two young children, including her 10-month-old baby, were trapped on the roof of their burning home as thick black smoke poured out behind them.
There was no safe way down, and another child had already been forced to escape through a back window.
Nearby, 16-year-old Tyler Sowden heard screaming, ran outside and saw the family stranded above the fire.
He sprinted back to his house, grabbed his stepfather’s 40-foot ladder, and somehow carried the roughly 100-pound ladder past about 10 houses to reach them.
Then Tyler raised it against the second-story porch and started climbing.
With smoke blowing into his face, Tyler took the 10-month-old in one arm while gripping the ladder with the other and carefully carried the baby back down to the ground.
He then climbed back up for the 7-year-old, got him down safely, then went back again and helped their mother descend.
Less than a minute after they reached safety, the house burst into heavier flames.
Tyler was 16 years old. He carried a massive ladder down the street, climbed toward a burning house, took a baby into one arm and kept going back until that family was off the roof.
That’s the kind of teenager people should be talking about.

He refused and chose to raise Misha himself.

Am I wrong for kicking my daughter out after she tried to send my cat to a shelter? I have two daughters. One is 21 and in college. The other is 26, pregnant, divorcing her husband, and living with us for now. I am happily married to their mother. Ten years ago I found my cat Lieutenant in a dumpster when she was maybe a week old. I bottle-fed her. She has been my shadow ever since. She is old now and grumpy and I love her more than most people.
@Mr_Husky1@rebirthofjan That is sweet. My Great Dane has his favorite teddy bear. It was my mom's, he would get it off her bed and bring to her, if she was having bad day. When she passed, we gave it to him, 2 years and he brings it to me when I get up, cuddles with it, very gently. Loves his baby.
🎞️ CUTENESS ALERT 👀 Watch now for the sweetest little face you’ll see today 🫶

Donkeys are the most beautiful, companionable and gentle souls on earth. But every year 6 million are stolen, slaughtered and skinned for fake Chinese medicine. Some people are stupid cunts.
We’ve had no enquires for Coco, can you please share?

You will notice in her photos that she had a lion hair cut as she got matted previously, however she doesn’t get this hair cut in the winter months.
Coco is looking for a peaceful quiet home with no other animals or young kids. Somewhere she can get out would benefit her.
She is active and likes to explore.
Coco is registered at the vets and enjoys treats.

👑 He has been a patron for us for over 10 years.
🐶 He is the one and only @rickygervais, writer, comedian, and animal advocate.
Believe it or not, he still made time to draw us this fantastic dog picture for our art auction.
To whoever abandoned this pregnant little cat near Maple Street: I hope you still think about her sometimes. She wasn’t wandering around lost. She had clearly been left behind. When I first spotted her curled beside the curb, she ran toward me the second I opened my car door, crying like she already knew she needed help. She was thin, exhausted, and heavily pregnant. I brought her home that evening thinking she might still have a few days before giving birth. She didn’t.
