👉 Se trata del proyecto "ADOPT Caribbean: Salud del Suelo para una Agricultura Resiliente al Clima" que se financia mediante la Iniciativa de Agricultura Climáticamente Inteligente del Gobierno de Nueva Zelanda y se ejecuta por medio de una alianza entre el IICA y el Centro de Emisiones Agrícolas de Nueva Zelanda, 🤝 junto con el Ministerio de Agricultura de Guyana, la GRDB, la Corporación Colombiana de Investigación Agropecuaria y la Iniciativa de Alianza para la Gestión Sostenible de la Tierra.
👉Su lanzamiento reunió a Linda Te Puni, embajadora de Nueva Zelanda ante la CARICOM, representantes del Gobierno de Guyana, expertos técnicos regionales, instituciones de investigación, agricultores y socios para el desarrollo.
🧐Dentro de esta iniciativa, en cada país participante se establecerán parcelas de demostración, se generarán datos de referencia sobre el suelo y se desarrollará la capacidad de agricultores, técnicos e instituciones para supervisar y gestionar con más eficacia las emisiones.

Dr. Ronen Francis concluded a high-level courtesy call on the country’s Minister of Fisheries, Marine and Land Conservation and Climate Resilience, Conroy Huggins, and Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Transformation, Israel Bruce, on Monday, 5th January 2025.
The first Project Steering Committee (PSC) meeting for the Carriacou Integrated Landscape Management Project was held on Tuesday, 16 December 2025, bringing together community members, government representatives, and partners.
