@cowboywolfwood I agree that kaiman and aikawa are different too! not many people get that. Aikawa has continuity from Ai but eventually repressed all that history trying to run from the truth. Kaiman is like the post-surgery ai+hole thing (kai) with a memory wipe that made him chill tf out

@bisexualheathcl People hating on the WrongShip but the WrongShip is the only thing putting a modicum of drama and tension into the story at this point. The fights against actual enemies have been sawdust for 50+ chapters

@dokugatchi one other thing is that kaiman WAS kai w amnesia for 99% of his life. The cross marks weren't just for show. It's kinda funny that the amnesia resetting his personality genuinely made him an almost normal guy not too different from aikawa.

@dokugatchi hence OG posts being abt if ebisu died in the first meeting and vol 1 kaiman got his face back before he had ANY flashbacks and was just a guy w awful nightmares every night. maybe curse accounts for extra lives or maybe not. hard to say how it would have gone w/out interruption

@dokugatchi @insanenredacted Yeah without the immunity from stacked spells I think curse would just kill him pretty shortly after he got his face back, but then he regenerates again and a new head doesn't mean he gets his memories back. Didn't happen when Shin killed him.

@Kaigio_PK Can't stand guys who confuse playing spot-the-difference for actual analysis. Show adaptation gives you line delivery, linear time, foresight of all future story beats, etc etc, the most pointless thing a director can make is just a mindless beat for beat copy.

@QuinnRed1 I haven't watched it yet but other people talking to me abt it was making me crazy cos they made it sound like pure magitech that relied on the existence of a tangible soul in the alienverse. I hope they do go in a more SOMA "neural patterns" direction
