@ChrisDokish Highsmith at the draft I’m assuming, because no team with a brain is touching that Watt contract. That Watt extension was the Steelers biggest mistake in the last few years, considering the haul they could’ve gotten for him, & now talent wise he’s the 3rd best edge on the team.

@ChrisDokish Honestly I was expecting around the 25 range, considering if he hit the open market he’d easily get 30+ All of the elite edges are getting 40+ & guys a tier below that are all in the 30s, 25 is an absolute bargain for the production he has put up as a rotational guy.

@ThePoniExpress Watt should’ve been traded for a haul instead of being extended, now they are stuck with his awful contract. I was 1 of very few Steelers fans who wanted him traded, could’ve fleeced a team. Herbig & Highsmith would’ve been an elite duo, now Highsmith will be traded for peanuts.

Have said it multiple times this offseason, Highsmith vs. Watt is a tough decision in many respects, but losing Herbig just wasn't an option. He's the future of the Steelers' EDGE rusher room. Just 24 years old. Had to keep him.

Steelers could’ve completely jumpstarted their rebuild with a similar package for TJ Watt last offseason. A year later he’s now washed and owed 40+ million for multiple seasons. Gotta love the standard

@BrandonC4728 @Steelers_DB I like steelersdb but you absolutely cooked him here 😭 I don’t understand the hate for 16 at all. Allar was 14 in HS 15 in college & now 16 in NFL. Plus that’s Montana’s & College Peyton’s number, there’s nothing wrong with it.

@otl_ff I think 15 looks better than 16 on a Steelers uniform too, but I have no issues with 16, 1 + 6 = 7 for Big Ben or that 7th 💍
