I had no idea Windows XP would still bring me joy. Spent some time reviving this old relic and it's now one of my favourite things. Got it syncing with my CachyOS PC, it's running MyPal, which gives it usable internet access. But, most importantly, I'm replaying Diablo 2 and a few other old favourites on original hardware (and that gorgeous CRT). I'm a happy nerd.

Hi @jk_rowling. I am just one of your many fans. I don't post on here very often but I need to express my gratitude towards you, publicly. Even if you don't ever read this.

I read Harry Potter for the first time as a 12 year old boy. Not only did it spark my love of reading and writing, but it taught me many lessons I carry to this day. I strive to be a friend as courageous as Neville, and a teacher as compassionate and wise as Lupin.

I've been told in the last couple of years, by family and friends alike, that I should hate you. Some of them have been quite cruel in their comments towards you. I do my best to counter them. Sometimes I fail. I do remind myself however, that they don't hate you either. Rather, they hate the version of you that they've imagined, and as we know, imagination can be powerful.

So. Thank you for teaching a boy to love reading, and for teaching the man he became to never give ground on that which you know to be true, and to always counter blind hatred with truth and compassion.

I look forward to the new HBO series.

@micsolana I agree up to a point. Mathematics is an exception though. I highly recommend 20 minutes on math practice per day.

Organised sports is actually the biggest culprit for taking play time away from kids. 2 to 3 hours of practice every afternoon and then weekend spent on matches.
