Well known leaker Kamila Wojciechowska has decided to leak wallpapers from the upcoming Pixel 8a.

Google has again commissioned the artist Andrew Zuckerman to create the Mineral wallpaper collection for the Pixel 8a.

There are four wallpapers, each with a light and dark variant:
• Titanite
• Barite
• Hematite
• Porcelain

Besides this art, there's also a recolored illustration made by Antti Kalevi from the Motif collection found on Pixels.

Android 14 QPR2 Beta 1.1 has been released!

This beta that's fully releasing in March 2024 has been released for Pixel 5a and newer devices. It fixes 3 issues from the previous but, but has 4 known issues as well.

Here are two new features coming to Google Photos:

1) Photo Stacks: Google Photos will now automatically identify and group similar photos that were taken close together into a Photo Stack and select the top pick that best captures that moment. You'll have the option to select your own top pick, modify stacks, or turn off Photo Stacks entirely.

2) Better screenshot and document organization: Google Photos will now better identify and automatically categorize screenshots and documents into more helpful albums like IDs, receipts, and event information. Also, Photos will automatically identify things like dates in screenshots so you can quickly add a reminder in your calendar.

Apple's implementation of RCS will also give users the ability to share the location with other people.

This does not mean that iMessage is opening up to other platforms, as RCS and iMessage will work separately.

RCS is coming to iPhones later next year

In a statement to 9To5Mac, an Apple spokesperson has announced that later next year iPhones will receive RCS support with an OTA update.

RCS (Rich Communication Standard) is a texting standard which brings many features present on iMessage to other devices, like read receipts, typing status, reactions or high quality media.

Google is also rolling out SynthID, a feature that will watermark any AI-generated audio it produces to identify them to provide artists and labels the ability “to request the removal of AI-generated music content that mimics an artist’s unique singing or rapping voice.”
