It is weird bc a lot of people look up to me now as a "successful artist" but I currently sleep on an inflatable mattress and I dont have a dresser. Or a couch. Or a real table. I just use a folding table and folding chairs

@HippyWizard Which means that any piece, in order to make it "even", we'd have to charge 120% times that much! And that much is usually well over $20 an hour. None of this includes our experience, btw, which would be a TON more, I have over 40k in student loans to pay off!

@HippyWizard Yeah. I literally just took a class where we calculated it all out. A massive part of it is how taxes work in America--If you're freelance, you have to pay approx. 20%, because you count as both employer and employee legally.

@HippyWizard Yeah. Its BAD. In actuality, if I were charging based on how much maintaining my way of life would be, it would be 30/hr, and I woulda charged you over $1k. Of course youre a friend so I didn't, and wouldnt...but I did BARELY make a profit.
