650 individuals within the gaming division at Microsoft who work tirelessly to ship and support our multi-million dollar products just lost their jobs. That’s over 2500 people this year in Microsoft’s gaming subsidiaries alone. All of our union members survived another day.
1/ In yet another landmark win for video game workers, staff at Bethesda Game Studios (BGS) Montreal have been granted union certification by the Quebec Labour Relations Board, officially joining @cwacanada1!
Yay! Following lawyers meeting lawyers, our bargaining unit (which roles will fall under the scope of our union) has grown! Now almost everyone in Montreal, with the exception of senior management, HR and a few other roles, will be part of One BGS MTL ✊
