BLOCKCHAIN MEMPOOL GUIDE 📚
A mempool, short for "memory pool," is essentially a waiting area for transactions before they are confirmed and recorded on a blockchain. When someone initiates a transaction in a cryptocurrency network, it doesn't immediately get added to the blockchain. Instead, it first goes into the mempool.
🟠Bitcoin Mempool
Bitcoin uses a fee market system for its mempool.
Transactions with higher fees are prioritized for inclusion in blocks.
The mempool size fluctuates based on transaction demand. This can clearly lead to high transaction fees during peak periods. That means slower confirmation times for lower-fee transactions.
During high congestion, transaction fees can increase significantly. Users must often pay higher fees for timely confirmations.

🔵Litecoin and Dogecoin Mempools
Similar to Bitcoin but with faster block times (Litecoin: 2.5 minutes, Dogecoin: 1 minute). This results in quicker processing of transactions.
Faster block times reduce congestion and improve transaction speeds. Both have lower fees compared to Bitcoin. They also generally handle congestion better due to faster block times and lower fees.

🔴Cardano Mempool
Does not use a fee market system. Mempool size is limited to twice the block size. Transactions are rejected if the mempool is full.
Predictable transaction fees. Immediate feedback on transaction acceptance. Can't regulate transaction demand through fees. Might lead to transaction submission retries during high demand.
To deal with Congestion Cardano increases block size or decreases block time and are developing solutions like Hydra for scalability.

⚪️Ethereum Mempool
Similar to Bitcoin’s fee market. Gas prices fluctuate based on demand. Prioritizes users willing to pay more for gas. Dynamic fee structure adapts to network congestion.
High gas fees during network congestion. Complex for users to estimate appropriate fees. Relies on Layer 2 solutions like Rollups and Sharding proposed for scalability.

Utilizes the Gulf Stream protocol, pushing transaction caching and forwarding to network edges. Does not maintain a traditional mempool.
