— in him? Right as her fingers entangled themselves into his hair the brunette pushed her forehead against his. A loving gesture, noses touching and eyes staring into one another.
"Now that's nonsense, we've all seen how good you are with Nessie. You've come a long way, Mister."
The hug and the spin did it. A cheerful laugh escaped from Alice's lips as she hooked both her arms around her lover's neck - a strong grip that would have effectively turned a human man's bones into dust, but not his.
And why was it that she always chose to see only the good —
Of course she'd seen her coming — but still, playing along would always be so much more fun. And so Alice jumped a little, reaching to grab the girl by her wrist and stop her from running off.
Gosh, he was good... He'd found her out: Alice's very first instinct had been to hide her desire for a child behind "silly games", she didn't want to scare him off.
She loved him too much.
"Let's say I'm serious about that." And she paused for a bit, nibbling on her bottom —
@ABroodingLion It never failed to make her immensely happy, every time they sat down together and just... played, their fingers dancing over the keys with such skill and precision it would put even the greatest of musicians to shame. No showing off, no competing to see whose —
hands had the ability to move faster without missing a single note — as if she could ever beat him at his own game, nobody could make music like Edward Cullen.
And then he started picking up the pace... he was unbelievable, and a little laugh fell from Alice's mouth right —
With a smile adorning her features Alice made sure she didn't miss the opportunity to caress the softness of his skin, tracing the ball of her thumb across his cheekbone until it reached his mouth.
"I think I might. Maybe — just a little."
Although it was nothing but a playful, harmless joke (a loving couple having fun), Alice's expression suddenly turned serious as she pressed her own hand firmly against his, head falling to the side a little.
"And you know I would never take advantage of that."
@deathsluIIaby This was their life now; happy, threat free, and although the two sisters knew it couldn't possibly last forever ( for sooner rather than later they would run out of excuses to tell people and be forced to pack up their home and abandon Forks ) they were finally —
— free to live it.
Together, as a family.
And as they stared out into the frozen, winter landscape, perched atop the highest branch of the highest tree they could find — immune to the cold — Alice shifted a bit to allow her head to lean against Bella's shoulder. —
