@TheJWittz I probably won't get them but I'd much rather a $20 purchase than having to get the NSO expansion pass. I wish there was an option to buy the NSO games separately like some sort of "virtual console" or something than be forced to pay a subscription to play them on Switch.
I gotta say, I'm glad that Nintendo is not considering the Zelda timeline anymore. It just limits creativity to try to fit the games in a timeline and I just prefer thinking of the games as different tellings of the same Legend of Zelda.
@Demruth I can sometimes feel like I play a game differently when it has achievements.
It's hard to fully relax and take the game in with a checklist looming in the back of my mind.
And I think finding a secret isn't as interesting if it's on a list of things to do.
Been working hard on a little game for a while now. I've finally built up the courage to make the model for the main character and today I made some placeholder animations to give the character some life before I make final animations. Still a ways off.
Breath of the Wild planted the thought and now Elden Ring has confirmed it for me.
I think open world games are more fun without quest markers.
They are convenient, sure, but by witholding such information you force players to really take in the world and reward exploration.
@Doru92865324 To be honest. I didn't see a spider. I just had a semi-amusing thought and decided to make it into a tweet. It's a situation I've been in but not currently experiencing.
