To those people, I give the best response possible below.
I don’t know what to call this version of Canada 🇨🇦, but I know this much-

Albertans like myself who now seek independence did not come to this conclusion overnight.
It is a last desperate attempt to regain control from an ever increasingly dystopian Canada that doesn’t give two s**ts for the personal freedoms & security of its citizens, especially those who have lived here for generations.

The last 3 elections (with possible corruption aside) have proven to the majority of Albertans just how different we are from the east, our values simply aren’t the same.

The system is simply too fallible and corrupt, this Liberal government simply doesn’t need to hide its corruption, even when they held a minority government.
There are no safeguards left, the opposition is left with arguing against a bag of potatoes during every question period as it’s only tool. The only hope they have is that the average eastern voter can see where the Liberals truly stand, but let’s be honest…
Canadians are so chronically apathetic that unless discomfort knocks directly on their door, they simply couldn’t care less.
In other words, the Liberals and their allies aren’t going anywhere soon, if ever…
The state funded media will make sure of that, regardless of how many scandals and corruption is uncovered.

But let’s get back on the topic of veterans for a moment.
The Albertan independence grassroots movement has many within its ranks, all reluctantly here due to no longer recognizing the land they served.
I am one of them.

This government (and many prior for that matter) has made it a personal vendetta to treat their veterans like s**t, often forcing them to take the government to court over downright inhuman treatments. Don’t get me started over the Mefloquine Mass Tort as an example!
Trudeau famously stated that Veterans are simply asking for too much in one breath, even as he (and Carney after him) ship off incredible amounts of taxpayer money out of the country, never to be seen again or traced.
Morale in the current Armed Forces is devastated by DEI bullshit (as confirmed by some of my peers who are still in), with exception to (maybe) the most diehard regular combat arms units.
I wonder how much of the famous Canadian martial warrior spirit is left… The Liberals are now trying to spin its successes on recruitment, with no metric accounted for losing existing members, recruit failure rates/tribalism/language barriers, etc.

So in response to these idiots, I ask them who the real traitors are..
Is it those who seek Albertan Independence?
Or is it those who willfully turned a blind eye and/or participated in devolving this once great country as poster child for 1984?

The irony is that a free Alberta will keep the relics of the Canadiana culture we all grew up in (prior to the late 90’s where the downwards spiral truly began) safe.

All freedom loving Albertans want is a land where we can be prosperous, have a safe society where real justice for the victims exists, where immigration & national security is strongly controlled and taken seriously, where our government can be held accountable for its crimes & corruption when it is found.

The Canada as we now know it is not the Country we loved and served, greed and foreign agendas/politicians have made sure of that.
The social contract is broken.. We are not the traitors.
