If we were to have a fan appreciation day/ book signing event at Mark Martin Ford/Museam in Batesville in September would you be up for the trip? We are working on putting the book signing tour together. #NeverLift
The world feels different now.
I still remember the faces.
They were just boys.
Eighteen years old and full of hope.
They traded their youth for our safety.
They walked into those distant, silent jungles.
Too many never walked back home.
Their journey ended in a cold, flag-draped box.
It was a price paid in blood.
Now, I look around.
I see young people lost in glowing screens.
It hurts to see the lack of awareness.
They don't know the weight of that freedom.
They complain about the very system that protects them.
It breaks my heart to see the disconnect.
We must never forget what it cost to be free.
You want a race war. I get it. I am not much obliged. But I do seem to think that you forgot that 2020 brought out all the riots and cities burned. Over a felon who overdosed.
Do you know who died in those riots?
David Dorn. A retired police captain. Have you ever said his name? Probably not.
Who else died?
*Calvin Horton Jr. (Minneapolis, May 27)
*Oscar Lee Stewart Jr. (Minneapolis, May 28)
*Javar Harrell (Detroit, May 29)
*David Patrick Underwood (Oakland, May 29/30)
*Barry Perkins (St. Louis, May 30)
*James Scurlock (Omaha, May 30)
*Chris Beaty (Indianapolis, May 30)
*Italia Kelly (Davenport, IA, June 1)
*David McAtee (Louisville, June 1)
Have you said their names? No. You haven't.
Doesn't fit the narrative, and neither does your bullshit.
I call it like I see it.
Insults are all you have. Nothing of substance.
