It was the moment Reno Omokri began to call Tinubu a drug lord that he was cornered and settled from behind to become Tinubu’s internet foot soldier who now defends Tinubu and every of his cruel policies.

Recently, Tinubu exercised his prerogative of mercy as enshrined in the constitution and granted clemency to convicted criminals in Nigeria. Guess what, he pardoned more convicted drug dealers.

Out of the 175 pardoned convicts, 53 were cocaine dealers. And this is happening in a country that claims to be fighting drug trafficking. You can’t be fighting drug trafficking, while encouraging drug traffickers to keep trafficking drugs - that’s hypocrisy of the highest order.

There are millions of innocent people scattered all over Nigerian prisons, and none of them was pardoned by President Tinubu, but he singled out convicted and notorious drug lords and granted them pardon. Something ain’t right about the entire drug controversies surrounding our dear President.
