Migration to the new network and beefing up of security is delaying restoration of services in the school... in particular XOA, GitLab and MySQL. Resolution of this issue is unfortunately taking more time than usual.
It's that time of year again, where we powerdown all services on campus for a few days. This will effect XOA, GitLab, MySQL etc, which will all be OFFLINE until some time next week (we're also taking the opportunity to install new switches in the comms room).
For anyone unaware, Google Chrome is currently rolling out an update that tracks your interests based on browsing history, then shares them with 3rd parties. The notification page makes it sound like a new privacy feature, but it's not! Be sure to OPT OUT.
It's that time of year again, where we cut all the power to services on campus in order to carry out essential maintenance. This means no access to school servers (Xen Orchestra, GitLab etc) for several days (possibly more, as we are also upgrading the network currently).
We have begun to rollout Windows 11 throughout the School, fully in some labs and on one or two test machines in "specialist" labs. Also, Office 2021 is now available. Don't be confused when you come back in September!
