Anyway, that's my light take about what is going on in the world. I'm all for having a government supporting it's citizens rather than dictating how or what they are allowed to do.
I've started to agree with Peter Thiel's libertarian and even some of his tech feudalist view. I think we already live in a tech feudalist society but it's only restricted to the internet, and a lot of people only exist online.
Another example, UK's online safety act is penetrating itself into how parents monitor their children's internet activity by effectively hijacking the parental job. where is the liberty in that? Why is the government directly involving itself into how children are parented?
Some unis really hand out firsts like sweets. How are people coasting most of the degree, locking in for 3rd year, and getting the top classification? A first should reflect consistent hard work and not a last minute "lock in" save. Embarrassing.
