Trying to count all the things wrong in this video...

0. The owner is 3x as productive as the worker. Why? This assumption will cause problems in Hasan's conclusion.

1. Hiring the undocumented person doesn't increase production at all.

2. Why would I pay the first worker 5, or 3, if undocumented workers are 2/3 the price? I would hire 2 undocumented for 4 loaves and profit 16 instead of 15.

3. In Hasan's example the existence of undocumented labor decreases wages of native labor by 40%. This is not realistic or based on evidence.

Hasan advocates for "Taking away from the boss 15 loaves of bread, helping him have 10 loaves of bread and then taking the rest of the 10 loaves of bread and distributing it evenly among the other employees so all of a sudden you have 8 and your undocumented friend has 7."

4. The math is kind of incoherent at this point. If the split is supposed to be 15/5 workers versus boss or even 15/10, then we go back to the problem in (0). Why would the boss hire someone if he made 15 with no employees and 5 (or 10) with employees? Hasan's plan creates an incentive to be less productive (typical of socialists imo) because the boss would profit more from producing less!

5. The boss, who produces 15, gets 5. The two workers, who produce 2.5 each, get paid 8 and 7 respectively (not 7.5 each?).

I understand this is just meant as a metaphor in a live conversation, but I don't think it makes any sense to try and use numbers for what is a totally non-quantitative argument. Just say: "Look, right now your boss uses illegal immigrant labor to suppress your wages, under my plan we take your boss's money and divide it between you and illegal immigrants." That more succinctly captures the spirit without confusing numbers that undermine your point.
