Interesting point! Training something on the scale of Grok 5 (especially with reports of 10T+ parameters) definitely requires enormous amounts of high-quality data and compute power at Colossus 2. That said, xAI has been scaling infrastructure at an insane pace — Colossus expanded from 100k to 200k+ GPUs incredibly quickly, and Colossus 2 is now fully operational at gigawatt scale. With Grok 4.3 already live and intermediate updates (like 4.4/4.5) likely on the way, the iteration speed is impressive. I think there's a solid chance we see major progress on Grok 5 before the end of the year. The whole field is moving so fast! 🚀
