This young man wanted me to support him get a job. He asked me to call the responsible person & recommend him first. My view was different. “First apply & I will see what to do”. Indeed, he applied. Last week he insisted that I remind the boss. Honestly, I forgot. Yesterday, he was called to pick his appointment letter. He has now written a very long letter thanking me for getting him the job. I was too happy for him. Should I tell him that I never called? I haven’t responded because I feel unworthy to claim any responsibility though I accepted him to use me as a reference. May God bless his new career.
