He coached generations. He built a program. He called Malvern home.
Now, after 43 years of coaching and 600+ wins, Denny Tucci is retiring.

Going through the motions doesn’t get you better—it doesn’t push you.
You have to have a plan and a purpose.
Don’t just do something to do it. Be intentional about every task, rep, drill, book you read, etc. — whatever it may be, be intentional about it and commit fully to that moment to improve.
Quality > Quantity every time.
Fewer intentional, all out reps makes more progress than more, half-hearted reps.
Be intentional. Have a plan and a purpose. Choose quality over quantity. Commit to making progress every time.
Coaches: never underestimate the impact you have on your athletes.
I’m ultra-competitive and care more about winning than the average person, but our purpose has to go beyond the scoreboard. We have a daily opportunity to prepare, inspire and lead young people in LIFE.
Fired up to begin year 8 as a head coach! Grateful for the culture we’ve built. Excited to keep pushing forward with a GREAT group of young men & a selfless coaching staff!
Two of our culture creators:
First to the floor = we sell out for loose balls without hesitation. It’s the belief that the loose ball could be the possession that wins the game.
Get to your guy = no teammate gets off the hardwood by themselves.
