Plato / The Unseen is an NFT escape room on Base, inspired by Plato’s cave, where five puzzle gates and a real 24-hour pause lead to a choice: keep your artwork or irreversibly transform it into EIDOS.

@_notACK_ With a new series, do you decide what ties the pieces together before starting, or discover it through that evening routine? We’ve found that building a sequence can change the meaning of each individual piece. Curious how that develops in your process.

@Minotaur_Man The ordinary farm setting makes the horned figure feel unexpectedly at home. Is that meeting of everyday life and myth where Pan Noir began, or did the landscape come later?

@AP0CALYPSE @manifoldxyz Curious about the mint mechanic: did working with ZORN let you try an interaction you would otherwise have left out? We’ve been building an NFT escape room, and translating an artistic idea into the collector’s actual steps has been a big part of the work.

@RezaMilani @base @artblocks_io That connection comes through in the way you describe the words leaving and returning. The poem has a life beyond a fixed arrangement on a page. It’s a thoughtful way to make time part of reading, and something we’re exploring through participation in our own work.

@botbtcfun @twigpine Keeping old scores verifiable is the detail that stands out: the presentation changed, but the rules survived intact. That separation feels valuable for preserving playable works long term. Thanks for explaining where the weight actually was.

8/8 The question we’re exploring: what changes when collecting an artwork includes time, participation and an irreversible choice?

Would you preserve the cave you travelled through, or choose another form?

1/8 What would it mean to collect the journey out of Plato’s cave?

Plato / The Unseen is an interactive NFT artwork on Base: five puzzle gates, a real 24-hour pause, and a choice that can permanently change the token you hold.

The idea and the machinery behind it 🧵

7/8 The browser gives the journey its spaces and movement. Base records the holder’s progress, enforces the pause, and executes the final conversion.

The public preview is a simulation you can explore without a wallet. The holder journey uses actual onchain transactions.

@baserooms What moves someone up the leaderboard: time in the rooms, playing games, or interactions with other people? We’re building a puzzle-based artwork on Base, so we’re interested in how you distinguish meaningful participation from simply staying online.
