Hi everyone! We’re Kaya, a global collective of visual artists, musicians, engineers, and designers debuting our first art car at Burning Man this year. Meet ‘Time’. A 40 foot coach bus we’re transforming into a mutant vehicle, sound car, and rolling installation. At its center: a suspended hourglass symbolizing the balance of past and future, life and death and a call to presence. We chose the hourglass design before the 2025 theme was announced, and it’s a beautiful coincidence how perfectly it aligns with “Tomorrow, Today.” Our art car will contribute to the playa with live music, sunrise and sunset ceremonies, yoga and meditation sessions, and interactive experiences born from international artist collaborations. We’re calling in volunteers and campmates! Builders, artists, sound engineers, lighting techs, ceremony masters and more. As long as you’re passionate about creativity and community, we want to hear from you!
