how i build my watch list for the week
1. use scanner to look for strong weekly bar set ups
2. is this a liquid name/do i want to trade it
3. check monthly structure is anything in alignment
4. does it fit a sector/theme i care about
5. search options flow for the last couple weeks, is there anything supporting my technical thesis
6. check volume leaders and dark pool for any institutional positioning areas or general interest
7. check GEX/VEX with skylit
8. if i can build a story, set alert levels of interest that could make an actionable trade for the week so i don't miss if something triggers
i'm now fully prepared if something triggers, i see more options flow or headlines, positioning etc. in a certain name
@big_business_ Such a copycat league. Pacers took OKC to the limit last year and they barely got by the Knicks. I'm sure the Knicks felt all year that it could have been them all year.
I took a small loss in this gold position. Stop was lower, but I hate owning it.... and it’s not acting well.
If that’s the low, you’re welcome, prob generational low now!
@justtbeingreal@MikeAScotto If the spurs win 4-2 itll mean that the knicks lost all their home games and Game 6 at home to give the Spurs the Championship. Epic Winning streak followed by epic losing streak. It would be very New York
Had a few $50k days this year with $SPX this is a small guide that I follow along with flow for $SPX $SPY. For trading $NDX I wait until the last hour with same GEX/DEX and incorporate VEX and $QQQ flow.
Few things to know about options flow
Just like a failed break out and taking the feed back from that - note when flow starts to turn as well
And I don’t mean put buying, watch for players who just flat out get it wrong - there is signal in this. And I don’t mean the people trading in and out of weeklies on mega caps everyday - clean opening flow
It’s now more important than ever to check OI to make sure buyers are committed and still in - especially after a day like Friday
Scan for flow on discount of 50% or more where original player is still in to help generate ideas
Flow is a very diverse tool, very few know how to maximize the story it can create
@sma197153@BarstoolHubbs Watching the NBA finals on Prime abroad. Amazon got the WCF and the NBA finals in an exciting year. Adam Silver is a fucking genius and anyone else who says otherwise isn't looking at the numbers.
@jaceerose05@Fullcourtpass@sam_amick Nba making more money than it has ever made before. Doubt you can find a player who says Adam is bad for the league and their paychecks.
@AngrySince87@Fullcourtpass@sam_amick The players aren't going to give the extra money back so no you won't lose those tournaments and games. The NBA is about generating revenue and I'm sure this year was a big earning year for them.
I agree with moving the All Star break though but that's the halfway point now.
I bought the dip in gold.... which is never fun, because I am a bit of a gold hater. But besides that, having a decent day.
Raised a lot of cash and hoping for a larger pullback in stock indices.
S&P is defending its floor and Nasdaq isn’t.
Friday flow: $SPY 720 & $SPX 7350 saw put writers/dip-buyers step in. $QQQ 710 got sold through — puts bought, zero defense.
Watch $QQQ 710 ($NQ ~29,280): lose it and there’s little support until 690.
$SPY & $SPX have writers below. $QQQ doesn’t.
