@Wexboy_Value How much of all societal ills today, is downstream of the monetary policy leading up to and post the 2008 financial crisis. I'm sure there's a book to be written on this ;)
@Wexboy_Value Imagine this with half a dozen 20 storey high rise flats selling for €500k each (lower floors), upper floors get a 15% markup with balconies!
@paullewismoney As 'lower the better' tax guy, for once I agree with Paul.
LSE is not being destroyed due to a 0.5% stamp duty on share deals. Restore a investment friendly biz climate in the UK. The LSE will show the effects (with some time lag)
@WestminsterPup A big part of this is...Net Zero nonsense.
Windows let out heat. A insulated wall is more energy efficient. When spreadsheets > lived experience of hundreds of yrs 😕
Lovely to read everyone's experiences of zestful youth. The way life works in strange ways!
Do spare a moment to thank the friend who cancelled :)
Every action, everything in this world has a good and a bad

@Wexboy_Value I never got the 'expensive to raise kids' argument of low tfr in the West. With compromises (eating out, holidays, keeping up with the Joneses etc) it's still very normal
“What’re you in for mate?”
“Cleaning a river without a permit. What about you?”
@EnvAgency is really plumbing new depths of malevolent uselessness here.
