I occasionally browse Amazon for a rare anime film or movie and get them when I have some spare cash to burn. It's always rewarding to have them on a shelf and watch them on a lazy Sunday or whatnot.
@dantemendes Great info, I didn't know about this. I was wondering if Technosoft stopped making games after the 16-bit era; this answers it.
This looks amazingm and with the way shmups are getting re-released every now and then, this one looks deserving.
@shinobi602 I remember when 3 and ODST had this when you're holding a gatling gun, and I would bring it around as much as I can because I loved playing in third person mode.
This is gonna be super awesome if Campaign Evolved adds Firefight too, and you start gaining new armor cosmetics!
@VideoGameHstry Funnily enough, this (or the colors at least) looks close to a washed out 360 game cover where the green parts turn blue. I don't have a picture with me right now but for those who have game covers like it: IYKYK ๐
@PixelCNinja Fantastic shmup. I could never beat it but I enjoyed it a lot.
Years later, I received a version of the game bundled with RayCrisis as a gift. I was pretty stoked; just owning RayStorm is already awesome enough as is, but it also came with another.
@PixelCNinja The dragon in the title screen reminded me of Salamander.
Come to think of it, Salamander had vertical stages, too. This one might have come off the same brainstorming session as that one XD
@peachflavor3d This is 'TIL' moment for me. I never knew the NES artwork was originally for the comics. Seeing it in full glory kind of like resolves a childhood memory I never got any info on before.
@gamer_lafan At the time when no one knew what next gen after 16 bit really looked like, the next best thing anyone could look into was the sounds โ this game absolutely delivered on that. The adrenaline-pumping music and the voice overs = chef's kiss.
Incredible setup btw! ๐
@dantemendes I liked the Japanese release for this one more than the NA release. For one, it had cutscenes, and two, the difficulty is more bearable (it's still tough, though).
Used to see this being demoed in video game stores all the time as a kid, and I really wanted to have it!
@DanVMaul Totally agree. It also starts out maxed A class, so you have all the HP you can get in its class.
I love the Warthog, but it skids a lot, and this BRZ has better control.
