The forest school at @PLIAcademy was buzzing with activity today!
Our amazing Year 1 children were using all their senses to explore and learn.
The highlight? Tasting the delicious rose hip jam they made! 🌹

The excitement was palpable in Year 2 Forest School! Using oak galls, vinegar, and rusty nails we brewed our own ink. Then, we made feather quills which we used to write poems. Did you know, iron gall ink was used to write the Magna Carta. A true mix of science, history, and art!

This week, our fantastic Year 1 children at Polesden Lacey Infant Academy got to enjoy a true taste of autumn at their Forest School session! They've been busy picking rose hips 🌹 from the bushes in our school grounds and making it into rose hip and apple jam. Delicious!
