Does casual journaling on X help one stay accountable?
Guess I'll have to try and find out.
I have never been consistently profitable for more than a month. Same old "collect drops in a bucket and pour it all away" style.
I'll have more time to trade now, so let's see if posting on x adds to the accountability i think i have built over the years. No commitment as of now. Just casual posts about my trading. Look forward to connecting with traders who wants to learn and grow together!
I may not post everyday. And i definitely won't force trades everyday. But i will keep a journal for all trades i take and will analyse here once a while.
Let's see where this gets me. (n/n)
Back at it! Didn't stop journaling.. Just had stopped trading for a while.
Option buying with 10k. The sole purpose of this phase is to build discipline and discover myself. Either i lose 10k or i build discipline. (1/n)
Losing streak continues.
One thing about generic option selling and managing positions through the day is there is no fixed invalidation point or target in the chart before you take a trade. So it becomes absolutely necessary to have a system in your mind. I honestly find it difficult. Though i have made money with this strategy, I've been losing much more recently.
I'm gna try a different approach now. Will take only directional trades with defined RR on the charts! Max loss around 10-11k per day. The aim is to build discipline before i move on to managing sold option positions. Win or loss, will update here with chart, on days that i trade.
Quite an interesting data. Despite a win rate of 67%, this is my FIRST consecutive 2 green weeks in 2026! That is quite revealing. This is why journaling is important. It reveals your deficiencies and pinpoints areas of improvement over a period of time. Which otherwise, goes completely under the radar and you're just frustrated with yourself that you're not profitable. I've had huge green days, I've had bigger red days. I've had 67% of green days and only 33% red days and yet my expectancy isn't positive yet. Let's focus on having more green weeks than greed days. It all boils down to controlling your drawdown. Which in turn, in my case, has been an issue with position sizing!
