WTF is going on with Codex usage limits?
I switched to Codex thinking,I would be getting some extra usage.
But,
Just 5 sessions of ~5 hours each and my WEEKLY limit is already 60% gone.
60%.
How exactly is this supposed to last an entire week?
At this rate, the “Weekly Limit” is basically a Joke,if you actually use Codex seriously.
Is this a bug, Or Am I too Poor to Upgrade?
My 2 Cents on Claude Code vs Codex-
Claude Code:
Better UI.
Better context.
Better memory.
Better long-session experience.
Overall just feels better to work with.
I switched to Codex for ONE reason:
I thought I’d get way more usage for the same $20.
That was literally the entire trade.
And then I find out the limits are basically similar??
So I gave up the better UI, better memory, better context, and a workflow I actually liked…
FOR NOTHING.
At this point, the $20 Plan has become a joke.
BREAKING: The Trump administration made a deal with the Houthis — reportedly promising not to strike Houthi-held territory or support Saudi-backed forces, in exchange for keeping the Bab el-Mandeb open to shipping, per Reuters.
It came just days after Donald Trump rejected the Saudi Crown Prince's request for U.S. strikes on the Houthis. Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman called Trump twice asking for American firepower. Trump refused both times.
The meeting was held at the U.S. Embassy in Muscat. The Houthi delegation included senior official Mohammad Abdulsalam, who is under U.S. sanctions. The Houthis told U.S. officials they had no intention of attacking American vessels and were committed to the 2025 ceasefire — except those belonging to Saudi Arabia.
The meeting also came just days after the Houthis captured Yemen's entire Red Sea coastline and Perim Island in the Bab el-Mandeb, routing Saudi-backed forces.
