The Nasher is deeply saddened by the passing of artist and sculptor, Richard Serra.
Serra's "My Curves are Not Mad" is one of the defining sculptures in our garden, both in its overwhelming physical presence and in its ability to transform the space into something experiential.
The manor is suffering another Texas deep freeze. Col. Mustard has opted to wear layers of Christmas sweaters until the sleet passes. And my French maid is wearing sweats. Very unbecoming.
I've green lit an exciting new project at the manor. My landscape architect is putting in a wetlands area. It will be home to many wild flowers, grasses, and animals. If all goes well, I'll have my carpenter build a duck blind. It helps to be prepared. #TallyHo
We are thrilled to report we located clouded leopard Nova on-grounds at the Zoo this afternoon at approximated 4:40 p.m. She was located very near the original habitat, and teams were able to safely secure her just before 5:15 p.m.
My @DallasZoo membership renewal tweet is getting negative attention by fake / cancel culture @Twitter accounts. I can dig it. I'd rather be on the side of animal conservation than with a few people who complain and do nothing. I'll just have to give the #DallasZoo more money.
My St. Bernards have been riding the Texas winter rollercoaster. Temperatures at the manor have ranged from freezing to the 80s. Just in case, my dog walker switched the cheese in their barrels from Swiss to canned. Spoiled cheese does not go well with brandy. #TallyHo
Christmas at the Manor was a smashing success. My armory chief was in rare form with his special holiday gun powder. And none of my staff lost any appendages like last year. Now the clean-up for my New Years Eve soirée begins. #HoHoHo
I would say it is quiet before the storm, but this evening we are doing some early Christmas morning skeet shooting. My armory chief could not sleep. And what better way to calm holiday nerves that with flying targets. #HoHoHo
#HappyFestivus, everyone. The pole is already in the library. The airing of grievances with my staff will begin after second breakfast. Col. Mustard will handle the feats of strength again this year. #FestivusMiracle
My meteorologist has forecasted below freezing temperatures for Christmas weekend. So, my butler is turning the drawing room into an ice rink and my game warden is flying in some penguins. #HoHoHo
So many festivities, so few days. I’ve decided to put #Festivus poles in every room of the manor this season … with a strongly worded caution agains pole dancing. My barrister made me do it. #HoHoHo
The manor is being prepared for Christmas. This year half the art will be the Nativity and the other half Santa's workshop. My art curator wants to play is safe. #HoHoHo
The manor thawed out this weekend. We went from -2°F on Wednesday to 70°F on Sunday. The first floor ice rink is no more. My maids traded their ice skates for roller skates. I may need to put a bell on each of them. #TallyHo
The manor looks like an ice palace. The current temperature is 14°F. My gardener sculpted an ice bridge across the frozen north pond. My BBQ pit master built a bonfire on the south lawn. Electric parkas are available in the sables. #TallyHo
The manor ice rink is a smashing success. The temperature is hovering around 25°F. My maids have choreographed a cleaning routine on skates. The best part is I finally get to drive my Zamboni indoors for a change. #TallyHo
My stadium manager converted the first floor of the manor into an ice skating rink. The staff glides from kitchen to dinning hall to drawing room to library. I had the blades on my skating walker sharpened just in time for Texas winter. #TallyHo
The #PolarVortex is bearing down on the manor. My St. Bernards are on high alert with full barrels of brandy and cheese. There's no snow, but all the snowmobiles are gassed up and ready for a south lawn escape, if needed. #StayWarm#TallyHo
My social secretary informed me that today is the most glorious of holidays, #Festivus. I sent my butler to the wine cellar for the aluminum pole. Festivus does not end until someone pins Col. Mustard, my Texas mountain lion. The airing of grievances can now begin.
The annual wild turkey hunt has ended. The turkeys have eluded us all day and not the sun has gone down. Looks like we will be having mashed potatoes and salad for dinner. #tallyho
