@Khi_oken i dont think the logic is too sound. reid is talented but he doesnt have an offering against righties, he dropped his changeup entirely last year. he mightve been optimized as a reliever, able to throw his FB, SL and CB in any count. that may not work as well 2&3TTO. hope not but

Set a salary cap at like $950M per year. Inflate the luxury tax, tax future deferred payments to present-day value to de-incentivize that. Put a salary floor in, maybe around $125M. Lesser punishments for revenue sharing recipients signing FAs, harsher punishments for cap teams.
