im not on here as much as i used to be. the real reason is because im becoming more and more disillusioned w roblox dev. i appreciate the sentiment behind some of the moving parts and policy changes, but its been difficult to keep up while also keeping everyones best interests in mind. running a bootstrapped studio in this landscape is an uphill battle. esp with this whole push for novel games which are $$$.

i also feel like lately, this hobby i used to love as a kid, and then treasured as an adult job, is now becoming a mundane and soulsucking job. idk when the switch happened, but despite being "successful" it just feels like the charm of this platform (for me) has died down. i used to be excited for RDC every year. now im questioning if i even want to go, which is crazy to think about given last year was the year i got engaged at the RIAs (best year of my life).

i hope to find it again soon, and im working on changing the way im approaching things, but for now, its been tough. i do like coming on here to see what everyone is working on and passionate about, or what new talent on the block is cooking up. id say that is really the spark of what keeps me going, the community.
