From our Director @Dwayne_Menezes:
It was great to start my day in @folketinget catching up with @AajaCL, one of the two MPs representing 🇬🇱 in the 🇩🇰 Parliament. Despite how tumultuous recent weeks have been, I draw inspiration from how stoically and adeptly #Greenland's leadership just gets on with things.
Last week, our cross-party delegation from the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Greenland in the UK Parliament met with their Greenlandic counterparts - Members of the Inatsisartut (Parliament of Greenland) representing parties across the political spectrum (Demokraatit, Inuit Ataqatigiit, Siumut and Naleraq) and also the Foreign and Security Policy Committee. A mutually enriching exchange between Parliamentarians reflecting the health of our vibrant democracies!

Today, @PolarRPI turns 10! We were delighted to bring in this important milestone with Greenland's former Prime Minister Aleqa Hammond who was also at our launch back on 18 February 2016. Here we are in 2016 and in 2026!
On 12 May 2025, the Kingdom of Denmark assumed the Chairship of @ArcticCouncil for 2025-2027. In Nuuk, we met with the Kingdom’s chairship team to learn about its chairship priorities; understand how Arctic cooperation continued; and explore the UK’s contribution to the work of the Arctic Council.
Following Greenland Energy Minister Naaja Nathanielsen's visit to the UK Parliament last month, our APPG for Greenland delegation met Nathanielsen again in Nuuk to better understand the situation on the ground and stand in solidarity with Greenland and its people. #uk#greenland
Few people have had as eventful a year as Greenland’s phenomenal Foreign Minister Vivian Motzfeldt. Our cross-party delegation from the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Greenland was delighted to meet her and reaffirm our solidarity with the people of Greenland.

Few people have had as eventful a year as #Greenland’s phenomenal Foreign Minister Vivian Motzfeldt. Our cross-party delegation from the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Greenland in the #UK Parliament was delighted to meet her, reaffirm our solidarity with the people of Greenland and present @Naalakkersuisut with the Greenland tartan.
It was a pleasure for our cross-party delegation from the #UK to meet the President of the Inatsisartut (Parliament of Greenland) Kim Kielsen and Director of the Inatsisartut Steen Lynge earlier this week, express our solidarity with the people of #Greenland and present the Greenlandic Parliament with the newly registered Greenland tartan as a symbol of that solidarity.
From our Director @Dwayne_Menezes:
Here is my open letter to Trump published on @arctic_today this morning. I had written it before Davos for Davos, but I believe much of it is still relevant - and I hope useful. So much can happen in just a day!

In his latest piece for @arctic_today, @Dwayne_Menezes discusses what a U.S.-Greenland Compact of Free Association might entail & how, if it arises as a fallback option, Greenland & Denmark could transform it into a win-win scenario, not compromise, for all concerned.

Yesterday, the APPG for Greenland hosted Naaja Nathanielsen, Greenland's Minister for Business, Mineral Resources, Energy, Justice & Gender Equality for a Parliamentary briefing with MPs and Lords, followed by a press briefing, in the UK Parliament.

When it comes to securing U.S. interests in Greenland, it is not to McKinley or Monroe but to Marshall to whom @realDonaldTrump must look for inspiration, argues @PolarRPI Director @Dwayne_Menezes in @arctic_today, before outlining two proposals that he believes would be far more meaningful, respectable and welcome than annexation or purchase.

In @nytimes, @Dwayne_Menezes calls on @realDonaldTrump to move from unhelpful talk of annexation to creating instead a meaningful "economic NATO" and his own version of the Marshall Plan that provides joint financing for strategic projects in Greenland and boosts its economic competitiveness.

Two weeks ago, @PolarRPI was pleased to join forces with @Naalakkersuisut to host a panel on 'Cooperation for Economic Development in the Arctic' at @AESymposium in Alaska, the largest annual Arctic convening in North America. @DanishMFA@KoDArctic
By bequeathing her collection to the Chateau-Musée de Boulogne-sur-Mer, @alicerogoff has catapulted France’s largest fishing town to the fore as one of the leading centres of Alaska Native art. Read more in our latest piece by @Dwayne_Menezes.

Now, on @arctic_today, you can read @PolarRPI Director @Dwayne_Menezes's statement on the Kingdom of Denmark's appointment of a new Arctic Ambassador and the launch of its Arctic Council chairship priorities.

In his latest article in the @spectator, @Dwayne_Menezes of @PolarRPI focuses on the rising geopolitical importance of Orkney as Britain's - even Europe's - gateway to the Arctic.
